Day 1

Pick up from the Jomo Kenyatta international airport by meet and greet professional ornithologist. Drive towards Lake Nakuru via the great Rift valley view point. Arrive in time for lunch at either Lake Nakuru lodge or Sarova woodlands or Sarova lion Hills. After lunch you will go for afternoon view of the pink lake which is famous for lesser and greater flamingos. The lake has other species of birds and it is also a sanctuary of the white rhinos, lions, leopards and buffaloes can also be found here.
Dinner and overnight in one of the above mentioned lodges.

Day 2

After breakfast drive to lake Bogoria a distance of two hours and arrive in good time at the Lake Bogoria spa, after checking in proceed to the lake shore to view birds majorly flamingos flocking the saline lake. Lake Bogoria is also famous for the hot springs and you may be able to spot some antelopes, gazelle, zebras and other wildlife in this park. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.

After breakfast drive further west to come to Saiwa swamp in Kitale Trans Nzoia county in the great rift valley, here you will have lunch in one of the Kitale town hotels and proceed to the swamp where you will be able to sample different bird species and the rare Sitatunga full day in the swamp. Dinner and overnight at the Karibuni lodge or woodland resort.

Days 4

Drive further west to come to Kakamega forest, this being one of the indigenous equatorial forest in Kenya, it is famous for over 250 species of birds, lizards and indigenous plants. Arrive at the famous Rondo retreat, or the Golf hotel Kakamega for lunch and spend whole afternoon in the forest
searching for birds. Dinner and overnight in your lodge

Day 5

Full day in Kakamega forest with an option of cultural visit to the villages for bull fights, cock fights and dances. Dinner and overnight in the lodge

Day 6

After breakfast leave Kakamega to come to Ndere island in the Lake Victoria this island is a haven for birds, hippos, crocodiles covered mostly in grassland, the island provides beautiful scenic views of Homa hills to the South. Drive to Kisumu in the afternoon and check into the grand royal Swiss Hotel. Afternoon visit the Impala sanctuary in Kisumu and the famous Dunga beach for boat ride. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7

After breakfast depart Kisumu via Sango rota beach in lower Nyakach and view species of birds including fish eagle, papyrus yellow warbler (chloropeta), papyrus gonolek, African pied horn bill. Drive further to Homabay and arrive for lunch at Cold springs hotel for lunch. Afternoon take a nature walk to the Asego hills overlooking lake Victoria. Asego Hill an inselberg which stands some 650 feet above the town of Homabay. Its easily climbed in 30 minutes. Dinner and overnight in the Cold springs hotel

Day 8

 After breakfast proceed to Ruma national park , lies in Western Kenya close to the shores of Lake Victoria it is considered the last retreat of the roan antelope it has the size of 120 square kilometers, it has some number of black rhinos, lions, leopards and herds of buffalos. We do recommend cold lunch packed from your lodge in order to have full day game view in the park.

Day 9-10

 Proceed to Mbita and further to Rusinga island resort for your two nights on the shores of Lake Victoria watching birds of the lake and doing boat rides to the adjacent Mfangano and Takawiri islands.

Day 11

After breakfast drive to Maasai mara via Kisii soapstone art carving factory and arrive at the Maisha mara camp for lunch, afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

Day 12

Full day in the Maasai mara down to the famous Mara River to view the big herds of elephants, buffalos, lions, cheetah, wildebeest, antelopes and other mammals.

Day 13

After breakfast take anature walk into the Maasai village for cultural tour and finally depart to Nairobi arriving late evening for your next flight home or Zanzibar/ Mombasa.
